A called meeting of the congregation of Oceanside: First Presbyterian Church on Sunday January 28th

It is important for our leadership demands to reflect the actual size of our congregation. We are very thankful for all of our previous classes of elders who have served us so well. A church of 500 - 800 runs well with 15-18 elders, our church is about 350 amazing men and women of faith. At our size twelve to fifteen seems is about the right size.

In order for us to make this change we need a vote of the congregation to change our bylaws reflect our current size. I hope you will join us for this short but important act of our church.

This change will allow for our nominating committee to now select five (instead of six) elders for our next elder class.
